What is a "S'more"?
S'mores is a recipe where milk chocolate and toasted marshmallows are sandwiched between graham crackers. It supposedly obtained it's name because everyone who tasted one would always ask for "Some more", hence the shortened word: "S'more".
The Cafe Antonio baristas have converted this into an ice blended frothiccino made just for you. Imagine the luscious blend of chocolate, the crunch of graham crackers and fluffy marshmallows and tell us if you wouldn't be asking for some more!
December is definitely a month to celebrate and indulge. Celebrate the Holidays with Cafe Antonio's FoM just for December: the S'mores Frothiccino.

WB students... to Cafe Antonio!
Cafe Antonio has recently gone back to how we are used to seeing it for most of the year: with students! Woohoo!
Semestral break is over and study time is here again. But then again, we know that for many of them, Cafe Antonio is already considered their second (or third or fourth..) home and of course, there is absolutely no other place like HOME!
Welcome back home, students!

Chinchin Gutierrez shoots Indie Film Scene at Cafe Antonio
The Lord has been very good to Cafe Antonio Dumaguete ever since it started. Blessings to the Cafe have been pouring in unbelievable torrents!
As an establishment in our kind of business, marketing comes from exposure. And as much as possible, exposure must be obtained at the least price possible. Of course, the aim for exposure should be the widest area possible!
Just in May of this year, MTV Pilipinas came by to make us part of their show with Caltex as one of the "must-visit" places in Dumaguete. Growing up in the MTV era, it was kinda exhilarating to be rubbing elbows with people who really work for MTV. It was the perky and pretty VJ Andi who came to chat with us.
A mere five months after, an independent film (of which the title we will still with hold) asked the Cafe Antonio management to be allowed to shoot at the Cafe! The film will star the beautiful multi-awarded actress and environmental preservation advocate Chinchin Gutierrez. She took some time to tinker with and play some classical tunes on the house piano while the film's beauty expert was doing her hair and make up. The film cast and crew had dinner at the Cafe before they shot their scene. Of course we took time for them to have their picture to be taken with us (hehe...)
In the picture on the left, Chinchin and the New Penshoppe ambassador for their underwear line Akihiro Sato and the director...i think, poses with the hunky Rayvin and Rochris (with whom Akihiro almost comes at par with in stature and hunkiness...ehem...hehe...watch out for the next Penshoppe underwear commercial, the three men at the right will be the ambassadors...*grins*).
We are not in the discretion to share so much about the movie except that we can say it was partl y shot at the Cafe. The scene where Chinchin and her co-actress (a Dumaguete local lass) were, guess what? Of course, chatting about whatever they were expe riencing over their warm mugs of coffee!
There was one thing that we just realized during that day: the two hours of entertainment that is provided in films that we watch are horrendously tedious to come up with. This is something that we fail to appreciate many more times than we do. No wonder the credits that roll at the end of the film is a mile long! Those people's names REALLY have to be credited!
It was quite an experience and one that we would gladly welcome again. To God be the Glory and more movies and shows in Cafe Antonio please!

Cafe Antonio Los Banos (Elbi) visits Dumaguete!
The Cafe Antonio Los Banos (Elbi) family visited Cafe Antonio Dumaguete last October 18-20. They were here to take their time off from work and visit their roots. They also celebrated with all Negrenses the Buglasan Festival. Balik ulet kayo dito! Or if time and money permits Cafe Antonio Dumaguete naman ang susulong sa Elbi! Kudos to Cafe Antonio Elbi for the first 6 months of successful operations!

Coffee Education? Not an EASY Job...
The Buglasan Festival, which happens every October in Dumaguete City is dubbed as the “Festival of Festivals”. The different cities and towns of Negros Oriental come together and participate by setting up their own showcases of their tourist attractions and some pasalubong items. Aside from the material things, there is also an almost 2-week long schedule of activities that are set up to suit practically everyone’s fancy.
Of course, the organizers give the different business entities a chance to set up shop at the site. Café Antonio opted to participate this year because we thought that it was a good opportunity to “strut our stuff” and show Negros Oriental how great our coffee is. After a couple of days of operation, we were already kind of feeling that coffee education is still indeed a challenge in Negros Oriental.
We realized that with this "type" of crowd, coffee would never be the beverage of choice for the homo sapiens. This crowd was indeed very much different from what we experienced last August at Silliman University during their Annual Founders Celebration, wherein ALL alcoholic beverages were supposedly banned.
So, Let's pack up and transfer our booth to St. Paul University! Let's celebrate with them on their Founders day and have a great cup of coffee (Hot/Iced/Blended)! See you there!

Dumaguete Food Map by Cafe Antonio
We have been receiving a lot of queries coming from friends and friends-of-friends asking where Cafe Antonio Dumaguete is. Actually a lot of tricycle drivers already know where Cafe Antonio is. Just hail a cab from anywhere in Dumaguete and ask the driver to bring you to Cafe Antonio. In just around 5 minutes you will be there! (Unless of course, if you are coming from the next town...)
Dumaguete is a city that is not hard to go around in. There are food places in just about any corner. You can even just use the most basic transportation equipment, your tsinelas, to go around the city.
For the benefit of those who will be visiting Dumaguete for the first time, Cafe Antonio Dumaguete prepared a Dumaguete Map for you. This map contains most major establishments located in the city especially food spots. Of course Cafe Antonio Dumaguete is very much highlighted there since they say you have never been to Dumaguete City if you haven't been to Cafe Antonio. So download this Free Map of Dumaguete and enjoy your stay in Dumaguete - the City of Gentle People! See you at Cafe Antonio!
(I think the Dumaguete Map jpeg file that you will be able to download from this site will be a little smaller than the original one that I uploaded due to blogger restrictions perhaps, so please feel free to ask for a copy by posting a comment on this page or by sending us an email at: cafeantoniocoffee@yahoo.com)

Oh...we're back!
After months and months of hiatus, we suddenly got to checking this spot again.
Guess starting this at the peak of "busy months" was somehow on the wrong side of the moment because it became the reason for "forgetting" that this spot existed. Hehe...
Nevertheless, we'll try to make updates more often.
Just to give a quick roll though, here are the things that are new to the Cafe as of the moment:
